MRI
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is an examination that provides two- or three-dimensional views of the inside of the body. MRI provides information about lesions that are not visible on standard X-rays, ultrasound or CT scans. It does not use X-rays but a magnetic field. The machine takes the form of a tunnel with open ends into which the examination bed is inserted.
Vascular imaging
Digestive imaging (cholangio-MRI, entero-MRI, hepatic and pancreatic MRI)
Neurology imaging (brain, spine and ENT)
Osteoarticular MRI (including arthro-MRI)
Uro-genital MRI (renal and prostate MRI)
Women’s imaging (breast MRI, pelvic MRI, pelvic statics)

MRI is a noisy but painless examination. To reduce the noise of the MRI, the radiology technician will fit you with headphones with music inside (if necessary).
For brain, cervical and total spine MRI, we are equipped with a mirror that allows you to view a TV screen, or the medical radiology technicians will be happy to play a DVD (without sound).
Some examinations require an intravenous injection, usually in the elbow.
The examination will take between 20 and 45 minutes. You should not move, unless instructed to do so by the technician.
